It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
Hey guys! I have been having to so much fun this week decorating for Christmas! I'm sure you already know that if you have been following along on my Instagram page. I made a story that shows you how I decorated our 9ft Nordmann Fir from start to finish. It was a process, let me tell you! But it was worth it <3 And you just can't beat the smell of a fresh cut Christmas tree <3
At the end of this post I will post a few pictures of the tree decorating process. I promise I will keep this short and sweet :)
So for now I will start off with my favorite view from my kitchen. From here I can see all of my favorite decorations. I love this view <3
The Christmas tree <3
My favorite ornament <3
The fireplace and mantel where our stocking are hung. I still absolutely love how this fireplace turned out. I designed it specifically for decorating it at Christmas. I always wanted a place where stockings could be hung by the fireplace <3
The little nook that goes in to our bedroom is the perfect spot for the winter canvas of Alan & I.
This is the view coming in from the hall and our entryway <3 Another one of my favorites because you can see a little bit of everything.
The sofa table that is filled with bottle brush trees and the handmade Christmas trees I made a few years ago. It is still one of my favorite projects I have done and most popular on my blog. You can see the tutorial here.
And last, but certainly not least, is my living room. I want sure if I was going to like blocking off one of the two entrances into the living room, but because it's temporary I think it's going to be fine.
As promised, short and sweet <3
And now I'll leave a few pictures of the Christmas tree decorating process. If you want to see more detailed instructions, head on over to my Instagram page and click the Christmas Decor bubble.
We picked this 9ft Norman Fir up at a local farm stand, Wissel Farms. If you're local, and looking for a larger tree, these guys beat everyone else's prices by a landslide. They are on the corner of Middleton & Lake Lowell in Nampa.
It has soft, shiny green needles, sturdy branches, and is supposed to have excellent needle retention.
Some of the filler I used. All bought at Micheal's for 84% off!
Some of my favorite filler is the iced branches and berries for sure!
I love the pop of color that the red berries give the tree!
This ribbon technique is so much fun, it takes a little practice but I love the results.
All dressed up and nowhere where to go ;)
Thank you so much for stopping by! Merry Christmas to you all <3
so pretty!
