Photography Sneak Peek ~ Kylie's Senior Portraits

Monday, April 25, 2016

A few weeks ago I took some beautiful senior pictures of my cousin Kylie. She is so photogenic, which made my job super easy! The orchards were gorgeous, and the lighting was perfect, I just love golden hour when everything looks warm and magical.

I remember holding this beautiful girl the day she was born, so it's hard for me to believe that she's already graduating. Time flies!

Here's a few of my favorites from our session...
Thanks for stopping by, have a great week everyone :)

Strawberry-Lime Pineapple Colada

Wednesday, April 20, 2016

Warm days and sunshine are finally here and that means I am ready for some fun, fruity drinks! I love sitting outside on my patio, listening to the sprinklers run, while sipping on something yummy. Luckily for me my local grocery store had fresh, ripe pineapples for $2 each, strawberries for $1 a pint, and limes for .10 cents each. I love cheap produce! I figured I could whip something yummy up with those things, and boy did I ever!

I go in spurts with how much I use my blender, and lately it's just been sitting out on the counter because I've been using it so much. Smoothies, milkshakes, fruit slushes, and now, strawberry-lime pineapple coladas have been whir-ing around inside my blender almost daily.
This was definitely a happy accident that this turned out so good. I really didn't have a recipe to go by so I just started throwing things in and blending them up. I figured you really can't go wrong with fresh fruit, coconut and lime. I have also used mangoes instead of strawberries and that was delicious too!
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup fresh pineapple
1 cup strawberries
1 cup coconut milk
2 cups ice cubes
1 lime, juiced

DIRECTIONS:
Cut up your fruit and put it into the blender.
Add the coconut milk, ice and lime juice.
Blend until smooth and serve in a pineapple for fun!
Super easy and super delicious!
You can always add a little white rum to make some delicious adult cocktails too!
Thanks for stopping by! Happy blending to you all :)

Photography Sneak Peek ~ Kirby & Stacia Maternity

Tuesday, April 19, 2016

The excitement and the glow is why I love doing this! I love maternity sessions. They are so special, capturing such a precious moment in their lives. Is their anything more beautiful than a baby bump? Except for the little miracle that's inside, I don't think so.

I was lucky enough to get to photograph my cousin Kirby and his beautiful wife Stacia a couple nights ago. The weather was perfect and I really enjoyed getting to spend some time with them. They were up for anything, which always makes photography more fun. I couldn't have asked for a more patient father-to-be, and I just loved the little props that they brought with them to incorporate into the pictures.

I had such a hard time narrowing down my favorites, but here's a few for a little sneak peek...
I can hardly believe that she is 34 weeks pregnant! This little mama is about ready to pop and she still looks fantastic. She was quite the trooper hiking around in the foothills for 2 hours!

Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out this happy couple. Have a great week everyone :)

Photography Sneak Peek ~ Hazel Grace Newborn

Monday, April 18, 2016

Words cannot describe how much I love this baby girl. She is my brand new, 3 day old niece, Hazel Grace. She belongs to my husbands brother Keith and his wife Angela. She is perfect in every way and I still can't get over how much hair she has!

Hazel is so special to our family, we've been waiting a long time for a blessing as sweet as her, and we are so thankful to have her. We are all so in love with this little darling.

Over the last 3 days I have taken hundreds just a few pictures of her, but these newborn shots are some of my favorites. Thank you Angela for letting me take such precious photos of your sweetie pie :)

Babies grow up and change so quickly, they don't stay little very long. Newborn photos are my favorite photos to take, just for that reason. Everyone really cherishes those first few days of life and when they look back at the photos they are reminded of how tiny and new their babies really were and how fast time slips away.

I am so happy that we have these photos to look back on one day. Thank you so much for taking time to stop by and have a wonderful day! I've got to go because this little angel needs some kisses and loves from her Auntie <3
