A beautiful sight, we're happy tonight, walking in a winter wonderland <3

Alan and I took a fun little drive to the mountains to one of our favorite places to camp, Lost Lake ID. I had been wanting to get some fun Christmasy, snowy pictures, and this was the perfect spot. 

The pine boughs were drooping, heavy with snow. In most places, the snow was up past the top of my boots. We found a side road that had been plowed so there was less snow there, more like ankle deep, and that was where we ended up taking a lot of the pictures.

Last year at this time we had so much snow down here in the valley we didn't have to look for it, this year we have some, but not tons. So we drove a couple hours, had a nice afternoon, and took a few fun, cold, snowy pictures. 

I already have my canvas ordered and it's on it's way. I have a little alcove, near our master bedroom, that is the perfect spot for a canvas. I have one there right now that is one of our 10 year anniversary pictures. I love it there for my normal, rest of the year decorations, but I think that a snowy scene will be beautiful for the winter months. I can't wait for it to get here!

Photography Sneak Peek ~ Newborn Nevaida

Welcome to the world sweet baby Nevaida DeAnn!

She is eight days new, tiny, perfect, and just as sweet as can be. Congratulations to my cousins Kaleb & Brooke, your daughter is beautiful <3

Yesterday I spent the day with Nevaida, her mama, and her grandma. We had a fun day playing dress-up, ooh-ing and ahh-ing over this sweet new little one, and capturing some moments of her brand new life. 

She's liked to be awake and see what was going on, and that was totally okay. I just love her pretty eyes and dark hair, she looks a lot like her mama when she was a baby. Nevaida did fall asleep (or maybe just blinked for a long time, haha) for just a few minutes, so we get some of those adorable sleepy newborn shots too.

This sweet family braved the freezing cold weather for their family pictures last weekend. When we would run back to our cars to warm up for a few minutes my thermometer read 29 degrees! Burr!! I still cant believe that it's the middle of December and we still don't have any snow!

I had such a nice time with these high school sweethearts and their adorable one year old. She had the prettiest brown eyes, you guys know I love big brown eyes, and the cutest little dimple and smile <3 Brynn is a little doll. Caleb is easy going and obviously a great dad. Alyssa is beautiful, super friendly, and just loves her little family beyond measure.

I love this family so much!

These are a few of my cousins, and they are just the cutest ;)

Violet and Forrest are no stranger to my camera, I've taken their pictures several times. This time we were celebrating Forrest's 1st birthday, and also getting a few of the whole family.

We of course had to do some cute Christmas themed pictures while we were at it too. They were just the sweetest <3
